Lightest Double Stroller
If you're looking for a light double stroller the weight and size are key factors to consider. Selecting a stroller that is simple to use and compact when not in use will make it easier to put into the trunk of your car, and to maneuver through airport security and other foreign streets.
The best lightweight strollers have an easy, intuitive fold that allows them to stand up on their own. This reduces stress on the body of the parent. Several also have a wide selection of seating options and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
The design is geared towards families who are constantly on the move. Lightweight and easy to carry in one hand compact fold. All-terrain wheels, front suspension and multi-position reclining seats can allow children to weigh up to 50 lbs. The tray for parents and children and a large storage basket and 3-tiered extended canopy with windows that peek out at the sun provide maximum protection.
The Cloud scored one of the lowest scores in our quality tests due to the fact that it has a weak seat, made of hard plastic, and a design which feels dated. It is also more expensive than other strollers with a lighter weight. This is a bad choice for those looking for the cheapest option.
Although it's not the lightest double stroller, it does have enough features that are worth considering. The swiveling front wheels make it easy to move on flat surfaces, and it is able to jump over curbs with ease unlike many other light strollers that diverge when trying to accomplish the same thing. The Cloud's low handle is a drawback but it's at knee level and isn't adjustable. It's uncomfortable to push your legs hanging in the air like that and it's also not helping that it lacks padding.
During our testing during our testing, we discovered the Cloud to be simple to open and set up. It's a little more challenging to close, however. You need to slide a slider before you pull a big white button to get it to collapse. This can be frustrating especially if you're trying to manage kids while doing it.
The Cloud comes with a small but deep storage basket that could accommodate a medium-sized diaper bag. The basket is a bit narrow, and you may need to leave something in there to reach the back. pushchair twin comes with an adult and child tray with two cup holders, but they're both too narrow to comfortably hold larger bottles or cups.
Kolcraft is an established family business that has been operating since 1946. They started out making diapers and crib pads, but now they manufacture various baby products, such as highchairs and infant car seats. The company is based in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist design that's ideal for travel. It weighs just 18 pounds and is lighter than other single strollers. and folds flat for easy transport and storage. It also features independently reclining seats and large all-weather SPF50 sun visors that have peekaboo windows and extra-large under seat storage bags. The visors can be adjusted to accommodate children of various heights. Plus, it has an integrated one-step parking brake that is Disney-sized approved.
The swivel wheel feature of Jeep is also ideal for maneuvering over bumps and uneven terrain. This stroller doesn't accept car seats. Your child must be at least six months old and have a strong neck control in order to ride on the front seat. It does have a nice, three panel sun canopy, though each seat comes with its own snack tray as well as parent cupholders.
Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is another incredibly lightweight side by side stroller. It's a bit heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 lbs, but it's thin and slim (26.5 inches wide!) It's packed with luxurious details that make it ideal for travel. It is easy to fold and is very mobile. It fits easily in overhead compartments as well as the trunks of airplanes.
The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. It's quite similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS, but it has some distinct differences. It's also slightly more expensive, but it has more maneuverability and a larger sun canopy. It comes with a handy strap for carrying and can be used by kids weighing up to 44 pounds per seat.

Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+
Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is a lightweight stroller with lots of features. It's not just light at just 13 pounds and has plenty of storage in the form of child and parent cup holders, a sippy-cup for the child pocket as well as a parent storage compartment and more. It is also compatible with a child's chair and has a brake that flips that is easily engaged. This stroller is designed to expand as your child grows. It can be converted from a baby stroller to a toddler stroller simply by attaching the car-seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children ages six months and over.
Another thing to consider about this stroller is that it only operates on swivel wheels, and doesn't have locking capabilities, so it might not be the best option for terrain that is rocky or hilly. It is able to maneuver well on pavements, as well as other smooth surfaces, though it's an excellent choice for the majority of families.
This is one of the most compact and lightweight double strollers with full-size features. The quick-close feature lets the stroller to fold with just one hand in seconds and it's compact enough to fit easily into your trunk or garage. It can also be used as a stroller for travel and is compatible with most car seats without the need for adapters.
Contrary to the majority of lightweight strollers, the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ has two separate seats that can carry up to 50 pounds per seat (100 pounds total). The seats come with individual leg rests, as well as three-panel canopies that include the ability to flip out sunvisors and a peekaboo window.
The seats are cushioned for your baby's comfort and have a 5-point padded safety harness that can be adjusted to three height positions. Each seat comes with an infant cushion, which is ideal for infants. The cup holders for parents and child, the cellphone holder and the large storage basket will be appreciated by parents. The stroller is also able to be fitted with the Yoyo+ Board, which turns it into an e-bike.
Joovy X2 Kooper
The Kooper X2 double stroller is a great choice for parents who want a lightweight double that can carry two kids. The sling-style seats are comfy and provide the same amount of headroom. It also allows kids to sit together. Unlike many other side-by-side strollers that are available, the Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat that's an ideal spot to nap. The recline mechanism is simple to operate but it isn't genuinely flat; taller kids might find they have an unbalanced leg when they sit in the reclined position. It also has a large canopy that we found to be more effective at blocking out sun than other strollers in our evaluation of the top double strollers.
The stroller is light enough to navigate through door frames, which was a big issue for us with other models we tried. It is easy to fold and the handlebars are located close to the ground. The only downside is its small storage space. When full of stuff for the kids it feels cramped.

In our lab tests we take into consideration a variety of aspects to determine the ease of use of a double stroller. This includes the ease with which it is possible to fold and set up, how easy it is to adjust the safety harness and how to open and close brakes. We also carry and lift the strollers folded as if they were being placed in a trunk and how to install and remove a car seat if applicable. We also analyzed the strength and durability of each product, and whether it comes with a parent tray that can be used for both child tray.
The Joovy Kooper X2 received the highest score in our Strollers Test Program for its ease of use. It also got the top rating in our most recent guide to the best double strollers. Its user-friendly design comes with one hand, with non-tilt recline, as well as a large canopy that has ventilation mesh that is visible even when it is tilted.
